Bangladesh are looking to put their short trip to Nepal to a good use for the development of their national squad as the visitors prepare for a couple of friendly games at the Dashrath stadium. Nepal will entertain the visitors in the first of the two matches on Tuesday evening.
“Bangladesh has initiated a long term programme for the development of age groups and national squads, the friendly matches with Nepal is a part of that process,” said coach of Bangladesh Saiful Tito adding, “we are here to make the optimal utilisation of this opportunity as football season in Bangladesh is on a break.”
Having just returned from their participation in the Nehru Cup, Tito believes the hosts will be a good test to his side.
Putting Nepal on par with dominant football forces like India in South Asia, he predicts the hosts to hold sway in the matches in front of the home crowd.

Graham Roberts will want Anil Gurung to deliver in the box against their Sunday's opponents as Rabin Shreshtha is expected to play an identical overlapping role down the left flank.
Bangladesh came in the tournament as favourites, but their performance against Pakistan looked far from promising as they failed to score and had to resist attacks from all ends for most of the match.
Counting on their captain Mohammed Sujan, it will in fact be a stern test for the highest ranked team in the tournament to contain an explosive Nepal for most of the match if they sit pretty in their own half half for too long.
